Young Artists: Drawing, wire sculpture and porcelain flowers

Tuesday 27 and Wednesday 28 August

This family friendly art activity will use exciting materials to explore the diversity of plants and flowers that can be found in England’s fields. Professional artists, Sian Hughes and Sarah Jane Richards will help you get creative with drawings, wire sculpture and delicate porcelain flowers, all inspired by some incredible and rare wild plants and flowers.

This activity is part of the Back from the Brink project, an ambitious national project which is helping to save rare wild plants from extinction.

Drop in anytime between 11am and 4pm. Suitable for all ages and abilities.

This is a FREE activity, included in the normal admission price. This year, our art activities are also part of the collaborative Arts Award across Ryedale as part of The Big Healthy Art Project. This activity also counts as 1 learning hour for the Children’s University.
