WWII Experience Day
Arriving with your identity cards and gas mask, our billeting officer will be on site to greet you. You’ll visit the village store to collect your ration books and sweet ration and find out what it meant to ‘make do and mend’. You will also learn about the life of an evacuee, delving into an evacuees suitcase and thinking about how hard it must have been to leave him and travel to a strange place.
As part of your visit we incorporate the use of a genuine air raid siren. Who will be your ARP Warden? Get ready as they raise the alarm and find shelter until the siren stops.
Cost – £8.00 per child (exc VAT).

We are currently updating our Hazard Identification sheet for this activity day and you will be provided with it during the booking confirmation process.
