Intimate Weddings
Ryedale Folk Museum offers an exceptional, romantic setting hosting intimate weddings for up to 58 guests. As a unique North Yorkshire wedding venue we also welcome elopements, vow renewals, handfastings, civil partnership ceremonies and exclusive use weddings.
You can find us settled in the picturesque village of Hutton-le-Hole, within the quiet countryside of the North York Moors National Park. Our open-air museum wedding venue is near to the market towns of Kirkbymoorside, Pickering, Helmsley, Thirsk, Malton and Norton, within an hour’s drive of York.
Hire periods for weddings and ceremonies can be booked between the hours of 9am and 5pm from April to September, or 9am and 4pm in March and October.

Whether you’re dreaming of a historic Manor House setting for your exclusive use wedding; an elopement or micro ceremony venue; or to host a handfasting in an atmospheric Iron Age Roundhouse, Ryedale Folk Museum has the perfect North Yorkshire wedding venue for you!
Ceremony Location Hire booked from Saturday to Thursday: your chosen building will be solely yours for the 1.5 hour hire period, with the remainder of the Museum open to the general public.
You can add one of our reception locations too. Raise a glass to your future and enjoy your wedding cake, or book a local supplier to cater for you – our venue is perfect for relaxed daytime wedding receptions and celebrations. See photos and full details on our Wedding Locations page.
Exclusive Use available on Friday only: includes sole use of the whole Museum site for up to 5 hours, including your choice of ceremony and reception locations.
